The door that is always open

Every company has one. Almost nobody asks how the person behind it is doing. Letters to HR asks: the hardest day, the proudest hire, the thing you most want to say to management — and the honest answer to “would you choose this job again?”

What to send

A letter or a piece of writing (roughly 300–1,500 words), or an audio recording with a transcript. True stories from HR practitioners, in whatever form they come.

Withdrawal

Withdraw at any time before the ebook is published. After publication, ask and your letter is removed from later versions and from this page within 15 days.

The book

No prizes, no rankings. Editors arrange and lightly proofread; meaning is never edited, and any substantial cut is agreed with the author first. The ebook is free for anyone to read and share in full, with attribution. If a third-party outlet republishes an outstanding letter, the author hears it from us first.
